The Relationship Impact Performance Process
Effective teams have a high level of relational competence, but how do they achieve that? Our clients succeed through the Relationship Impact Performance Process. The Performance Process provides a framework for examining five root values that shape interaction:
-
People
The willingness to treat all people as valuable and worthy of respect. -
Autonomy
The willingness to take responsibility and honor others’ responsibility. -
Commitment
The willingness to honor a promise. -
Truth
The willingness to seek and honor different perspectives. -
Legacy
The process by which these values are nurtured in each team member, so that they play out through everyday relationships and create an honorable legacy for the organization.
Through the Performance Process, teams discuss and explore each value and we demonstrate how the different ways that individuals prioritize these values explain differences in attitude and behavior. We then link these values to individual behaviors and identify specific new habits that each team member can master to improve their relational competence. Through tools and coaching, team members learn new habits and become more responsive in their relationships, which encourages trust and makes friction more productive. The result is increased employee engagement and learning across the team—essential to building an honorable collective legacy for the organization.
